01 / Areas of focus
Reading what a mouse, keyboard or controller really sends over the wire, then documenting it or replacing the firmware behind it.
USB HID reports, bootloaders, protocol captures.
Controllers, remaps and drivers shaped around the person using them, for people who can't use a stock mouse or keyboard the way it ships.
One-handed layouts, hold-to-toggle, switch access, custom buttons.
Design and build work for teams that need an experienced engineer for a while: untangling an old system, planning a new one, or shipping the part that is stuck.
Architecture, back-end, cloud, data.
Small lab. Curious by nature.
02 / Behind the name
A little cricket.
The lab is named after its founder, Kuba Swierszczyk, whose surname is the Polish word for a little cricket.
Crickets hear through their front legs and sing by drawing one wing across the other. They are small and easy to miss until they make a sound. That suits a one-person lab that spends its days listening to what devices say.
Little Cricket Labs LLC was formed in Michigan in 2026.
